Texas Massage Schools & Requirements

With a year-round warm climate and plenty of entertainment, Texas is a great place for students to attend massage therapy schools. The warm weather is ideal for all kinds of recreational activities including kayaking, rock climbing, windsurfing, and more. The state’s main metropolitan areas – Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin – all offer a unique cultural experiences in their art galleries, music venues, historic museums, and fine eateries. There are also several sites of historical importance in Texas. When not studying, students can visit The Alamo in San Antonio, or the Texas State Capital and State Cemetery, both of which make their home in Austin.

Texas Massage Therapy Requirements: 500 hours from an approved massage therapy school

Massage Therapist Maintenance: 12 hours biennially

Massage Therapy Exams Required in Texas: NCETM, NCETMB or MBLEx
